Vic: Bracks welcomes police chief s call for drugs strategy

MELBOURNE, Feb 26 AAP - Victorian premier Steve Bracks today welcomed Police Chief
Commissioner Neil Comrie's call for parliamentarians to develop a 10-year strategy to
fight drug abuse, saying he would discuss some of Mr Comrie's suggestions.

Mr Comrie today called for a joint sitting of state parliament to develop a long-term
strategy that was above politics.

Mr Bracks said he would discuss the idea with Mr Comrie.
