NT: Two dead in NT car crash
Two men are dead after a car hit a tree 300km south of Darwin yesterday.
The men were trapped in the car for about 20 minutes before fire and rescue officers
were able to free them.
Both later died at Katherine District Hospital.
The car left the Stuart Highway and hit the tree 16 km north of Katherine.
The deaths are the first in the Northern Territory for this Christmas-New Year period.
